Shipping for Selfnamed products is calculated automatically for orders, and you'll be charged based on Selfnamed's shipping costs. However, you need to configure shipping settings in your Squarespace store manually, as there's no way to automatically transfer Selfnamed shipping prices to Squarespace.
Set Up Shipping in Squarespace
You have two options to configure shipping:
Option 1: Through Products & Services
Go to Products & Services in your Squarespace admin
Click Add a fulfillment method
Select Add shipping option
Choose either flat rate or weight-based shipping
Option 2: Through Settings
Go to Settings > Selling > Shipping
Click Add shipping option
Choose either flat rate or weight-based shipping
When setting your shipping rates, make sure to factor in the costs you'll be charged by Selfnamed so you're covering delivery expenses.
Configure Required Customer Information
To ensure smooth order fulfillment, you need to collect all necessary customer details at checkout:
Log in to your Squarespace admin
Go to Settings > Selling > Checkout
Under Additional fields, mark "Required" for phone number collection
You need to ensure that for each order you have:
Full shipping address
Phone number
Email address
These details are essential for courier delivery. If any information is missing, the order may be placed on hold until corrected.
That's it! Once your shipping and checkout settings are configured, orders will flow smoothly from Squarespace to Selfnamed for automatic fulfillment.
