How to use Selfnamed packaging templates

Templates are files that contain all of the information about the ready-to-print file e.g. required measurements, export settings, as well as all the necessary technical information on fonts, colors, images, etc.

You can integrate your design into the layout using any of our blank templates. Use the template yourself or share it with your designer. Not only does our template file contain information on required measurements, but it also provides insider tips for getting the best product packaging design possible. So, why go in blind when there are guidelines that will make the process much easier?

We offer downloadable blank templates that let you create the perfect, made-to-fit solution – all you need to do is fill them with your design.

  • The perfect solution to fit the design layout

  • Use it yourself or share the template file with your designer

  • Pro tips in the file

  • The best way to achieve the perfect result

  1. Go to Design Studio by pressing the "Start designing" button on the top right corner of the product page. Note that you'd need to sign in to your account or sign up with us to access our Design Studio!

  2. Click Uploads in the top navigation corner and choose from Figma or Adobe the template there or see "Download templates" at the top

  3. Download/click on the desired platform and you'll find the manual with the helpful technical information included!

  4. When your design is ready, you can upload it back to the platform and then order your product.

These templates contain all the required measurements as well as all the necessary technical information on fonts, colors, images, etc.

*note - For designs made from templates we recommend using only PNG as by using JPEG you will reduce quality.

Once you have created your design according to the template requirements the next step is to upload your design file by clicking on “Upload visual media file”

After successful upload, your design file will appear in the Design Tool worksheet where you can change the positioning of your design or rotate it, add text or figures if needed. If your design file is transparent, you can even change the background color. Anyway, you can still play around with your design and add some bits and pieces to it if you desire!

When you feel your design is finished click “continue” and Voilà!

You're all done and ready to proceed to checkout (or add more products to your bag)!
