We recommend using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop to create your own pre-made design to fit our blank templates for creating your desired packaging.

Here are our insider tips for creating a product label or box design, you should keep in mind to get the best results.

  1. Positioning
Positioning is everything. It is important to keep in mind the overall layout. As seen in (A) there’s a 3 mm safety zone between the design space and cut/ fold line for product boxes as well as product labels.

  2. The bleed area
The bleed area (B) in all the templates is indicated by the blue color line. By adding a little extra design to the edges, we can print your piece oversized and then cut it down to size, giving the impression that the printing bleeds off the page rather than having white borders. It is worth noting that if the text is placed in this bleed area, it might get cut off so we recommend placing the text in the safe print/print safe area.

  1. Please note that for all the templates the green frame marks a space that needs to remain blank in the artwork. The information shown in this area will be inserted automatically.

  2. Text - when you are thinking about the visual aspects of text and considering fonts to be used, it is important to meet these requirements:

    • All fonts should be converted as vectors (outline)

    • Fine lines should not be thinner than 0,17 pt

    • Minimum text size 4,3 pt (it might need to be larger, depending on the background, for example, with a black background the minimum is 4,8 pt). In any case, the minimum thickness of the text line needs to be 0,12 mm.

  3. Colors & Resolution

When it comes to colors, we recommend using the CMYK color system for the color elements. This letter combination stands for cyan (blue), magenta (red), yellow, and key (black). These are the four colors used in printing. Each color has a CYMK code that a printer will use to help color match your design and the finished package.

Please remember to keep the total percentage of design ink under 300% (total ink).

To ensure the best possible outcome, the print file resolution should be at least 300 dpi or above.

  4. Please note that both templates contain an information label that has a trapeze shape.

When it comes to larger label sizes, some of them, such as those for 30 ml and 50 ml products, retain the trapeze shape.
Our larger products, such as 200 ml and 300 ml, do not have a trapeze shape label. Because of the shape of the cosmetic product, a rectangular label is required for more efficient printing.

When you first enter our design studio, you'll notice that the design is blank. A button labeled "Uploads" is located in the workspace's upper left corner. After clicking the button, a large window labeled "UPLOAD FILES" will appear in front of you.
