How do I build my own gift box?
To create a beauty gift box with Selfnamed, head to the Gift Boxes category in the product catalog and open the custom gift box builder. First you'll have to pick a category across face care, body care, and hair care. Then add branding to the box and fill each slot with a product and its design. You can preview the box at any point.
Can I put my logo on the gift box?
Yes, you can! Simply upload your logo and artwork in the Selfnamed Design Studio as a .JPG, .PNG or .SVG file up to 20 MB, and add your brand name on the front panel. Legal text is added automatically, outside the editable area.
What goes in each type of gift box?
A face box holds 3 products of your choice, a hair box contains a shampoo and a conditioner, and a body box contains a wash and a lotion.
Can I mix face, body, and hair products in one box?
No, currently every gift box is built within one category. The face box includes products for face care, the body box holds body products, and the hair box is meant for hair care products.
Do I need a Pro subscription to create a custom gift box?
Yes. Custom gift boxes are a Pro feature, so you need Pro to order and sell one. You can still try out the builder without Pro: build and preview a custom gift box on any plan. Under a free account, you can order and sell our ready-made gift sets. For the pre-made sets, the product selection is fixed, but, as with other products in our catalog, you can apply your branding.
Do the box and the products have separate designs?
Yes. The box has its own design, and each product in a slot has its own design too. That lets you match the box to a product line or give each product its own look.
Can I change a product or a design after adding it?
Yes. Each slot lets you change the product or change the design, and you can preview the box at any point while you build.
Pricing and Pro
How is the price of a custom gift box calculated?
Selfnamed adds up the products you pick at their current list prices per piece, then takes off the gift box discount. The discount depends on the category:

What if a product is already on sale?
If the product's sale discount is bigger than the box discount, you get the sale price instead.
Can I order a gift box on a free plan?
Yes, with our ready-made gift sets. The product selection in a ready-made set is fixed, and you can customize the box and the labels with your own branding.
What happens to my custom gift box if my Pro subscription ends?
Custom gift boxes need an active Pro subscription. If your subscription ends, you won't be able to place an order with your custom box and you won't be able to sell it in your dropshipping store.
What you see in your store depends on your settings:
Stock sync on: Selfnamed sets the custom gift box as out of stock in your store and customer orders don't come in.
Stock sync off: Your customers can still place an order for the box in your store, but Selfnamed cancels it.
If you want to keep selling your custom gift box, you need to renew your subscription. Alternatively, remove the box from your store.
