Fast Design (also called Quick Design) lets you add your branding to any product in under a minute — no design skills needed. You can use it to order sample sets quickly, so you can test the quality and feel of your products before committing to a full collection.
What is Fast Design?
Fast Design is Selfnamed's automated design tool. You pick a ready-made style, upload your logo or brand name, and the system generates your packaging design instantly. It's perfect for sample orders, where the goal is to experience the product – not produce a final, fully customised label.
Please note: because Fast Design generates your label automatically, logo size and positioning cannot be manually adjusted. If your logo appears small or the layout isn't exactly how you'd like it, that's expected at the sample stage. For full control over your design, use the Design Studio instead.
Step 1: Go to the Product catalog
Log in to your Selfnamed account and navigate to the Product Catalog. Browse the 150+ available products and select the ones you'd like to sample. You can order any product with no minimum order quantity (MOQ).
If you're unsure where to start, consider the Complete Collection Set or the All Time Bestsellers Bundle to try a range of products at once.
Step 2: Choose Fast Design
Once you've selected a product, you'll be prompted to customise it. Choose the Customize Now option. You'll be presented with a set of ready-made design styles – pick the one that best fits your brand vision.
Step 3: Upload your logo or brand name
Upload your logo file, or simply enter your brand name as text. The system will generate your design automatically and show you an instant preview with a realistic product mockup.
If you'd prefer to receive the products with Selfnamed's default sample designs instead, you can skip this step entirely.
Step 4: Add to Cart and Proceed to Checkout
Once you're happy with the preview, add the product to your cart. At checkout, enter your shipping address and choose a shipping method. Your design is automatically saved to your profile under My Designs, so you can reorder or build on it later.
Step 5: Receive and Evaluate Your Samples
All sample set products are full-sized – the same as what your customers would receive. This lets you make an informed decision about the product before scaling up to a bulk order.
A few things to keep in mind:
Selfnamed does not offer free samples, but since there are no MOQs, you can order a single unit of any product.
Sample sets are for personal testing only and cannot be added to a dropshipping store.
Bulk discounts do not apply to sample sets.
